We do not share this decision-making authority with any third-party platform. Our website is hosted on a third-party e-commerce infrastructure, but that provider acts strictly as an Operator (processor) under our instruction and control, and has no independent rights to your data.

When we use the term "personal information," we are referring to information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to you or another living, natural person, or a juristic person (e.g., a company), as defined under POPIA. Personal information does not include information that is collected anonymously or that has been de-identified.

How long we retain your personal information depends on different factors, such as whether we need the information to maintain your account, to provide you with Services, comply with legal obligations (e.g., tax and record-keeping laws), resolve disputes or enforce other applicable contracts and policies. We will retain your personal information for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this policy, and thereafter we will securely destroy or de-identify it.

9. Your Rights Under POPIA (South Africa)

As a South African data subject, you have the following rights under POPIA in relation to your personal information, and all requests must be directed to Alicebzar (not to any third-party platform):

  • Right to Access. You have the right to request access to the personal information that we hold about you, and to find out what information we have, how it is being used, and who it has been shared with.

  • Right to Correction. You have the right to request that we correct or update any inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated personal information we hold about you.

  • Right to Deletion / Destruction. You have the right to request that we delete or destroy your personal information where there is no longer a lawful reason for us to retain it.

  • Right to Object. You have the right to object to the processing of your personal information (including for direct marketing purposes) on reasonable grounds, unless the processing is required by law or a contract.
